Sunday, November 22nd, 2009Why don’t we all live under-ground in a controlled temperature?
If all human beings lived underground where temperature is controlled, would that not save a lot of energy?
So why don’t we do that?
1. It will take a lot of convincing to make the whole population abandon their homes to live underground.
2. The cost of maintaining the temperature, building the housing schemes and keeping the ground from falling upon us is unimaginably huge.
3. How we will get oxygen underwater? We will need to create our own atmosphere! Pumping air in and out of underground tunnels around the world will definitely use up a lot of energy.
4. Traveling from country to country will be excessively difficult and dangerous.
5. Because of loss of familiar scenery and wildlife, this huge change in lifestyle will bring a lot of problems such as depression.
6. It will probably be difficult to get animals such as cows to breed underground, because they will be so shocked. The good thing is everyone will be forced to turn vegetarian.
7. Health problems for humans due to lack of sunlight.
8. Everyone will starve as lack of sunlight will prevent plants from growing.
9. By the time all of the above happens, huge amounts of people will rebel against the government for bringing this disaster upon us. Worldwide collapse.
It would probably be easier to move to another planet!
